Twelve ways in which the Primary Progress Toolkit can support school management

4. Set pupils’ KS2 targets/forecasts

This worksheet gives you all the key information that you need to set challenging targets for each pupil in the class/year group:
1Test results (levels) for KS1 and optional SATs for Years 3, 4, 5.
2KS2 predictions (lower quartile, mean and upper quartile), based on the pupil’s KS1 Average Points Score and derived from national data.
3The percentage of pupils, nationally, who achieve each KS2 level, based on a range of KS1 average points, eg 16 to 18 points.

4 Fischer Family Trust forecasts, if your school uses this data, showing the estimated level and the probability of achieving Levels 4 or 5. (You can choose between the four Fischer forecasts A, B, C, D by clicking on the drop-down list.)
5 Pupil targets are entered (as levels) in the boxes in the middle of the screen. When complete, clicking on the ‘Enter/Next’ button will store these targets and automatically move to the next pupil.

Additional pupil details
Clicking on the ‘Pupil Details’ button produces this box, from which you can check the pupil’s birthdate, time at school, eligibility for FSM, etc.
